Real Matchpoint Results
Ever wonder how you really stack up against other WBL
players? I became annoyed that there really is no good measure by
which to compare myself to other players. So, I wrote a program to
look through the text files posted online and write down the
percentage and masterpoints won by each player during each session. I
then compiled these into a big list, and divided them by how many
sessions each player has played. Below are compilations of how each
player did - unfortunately, I had to do this individually, since each
player doesn't play with the same partner every week. If you want to
figure out how you and a particular partner did - well you can go back
and average the numbers yourself. I have only included Thursday night A/X
WBL games, not including any IMP or open games.
I have also only included players who have played at least half of the
sessions played by the player who played the most sessions. For 2007
so far there were 32 such sessions, so I apologize if you have not
been included. If you really want to know, you can send me an email
(mikegill -at- astro.umd.edu) and I'll be happy to tell you.
I have chosen (for now anyway) to only list these by player number for
now - if you really want to know who's who, you can take the time to
look it up in the files. At least this way anyone who wants it has
some sense of anonymity.
