International Year of Astronomy 2009

In 1609, Galileo made the first astronomical observations with a telescope and recorded his observations. Four hundred years later the world is celebrating! 2009 is the International Year of Astronomy. An international committee has put together a program with cornerstone and special projects throughout the year.
