TRANSPORTATION

FROM BWI AIRPORT

If you would like to make use of the shuttle service, you should go to "Ground Transportation" on the lower level of the airport and notify them that you would like shuttle service to the University Conference Center (UCC), the Holiday Inn or Quality Inn in College Park, Maryland. They will issue you a ticket to that destination.

Shuttle service to or from BWI is $16.00 per person, one way. It operates 7 days per week, with the schedule slightly different on Saturday. Service begins at 7:10 AM (7:00 AM Saturday) ands runs every 60 minutes (90 minutes on Saturday) until 11:10 PM (8:30 PM on Saturday). If shuttle service is needed for your return to BWI you must give the BWI Airport Connection 24 hours notice. For more information, please contact them directly at (301) 441-2345. You can also take Montgomery Shuttle from BWI for $25.

FROM DULLES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Via Taxi: A taxi from Dulles Airport to College Park will probably run upwards of $70.00.

Via METRO: A less expensive (but more complicated) alternative is to take a Washington Flyer shuttle to the West Falls Church stop (shuttles run every 30 minutes). Get on the orange line; transfer to the red line at the Metro Center stop; transfer to the green line at the Fort Totten stop, and exit at the College Park station. It is a short taxi ride from there to your hotel destination. Click here for a complete METRO map.

FROM WASHINGTON NATIONAL

Corporate Wheels and Deluxe Transportation Limousine Services operate from Washington National Airport at a cost of $35 and $45 respectively. Montgomery Shuttle is a bargain at $21.

Via Taxi: A taxi from the airport to College Park will run upwards of $40.00.

Via METRO: There is a Metro station at National Airport. Get on the yellow line and transfer to the red line at Gallery Place and follow directions above from the red line to your hotel destination. If you're travelling during rush hour you can catch a green line train at Gallery Place directly to College Park. Click here for a complete METRO map.

BY TRAIN

Check the following links for train schedules for Amtrak or the local commuter MARC trains. The closest Amtrak stop is at New Carrollton while the MARC train stops in College Park.

BY AUTOMOBILE

From 495: Follow signs to College Park/U.S. 1 (exit 25A). Proceed approximately 1 mile and exit right onto Rt. 193 (west). At the 3rd traffic light (intersection of Adelphi Rd. and University Blvd.) make a U-turn. The entrance to the University Conference Center parking garage will be immediately to your right.

From 295: follow signs to the Greenbelt Road/Rt. 193 exit. Take 193 (west) a few miles to College Park. Once you pass Rhode Island Ave., follow the directions above to the University Conference Center parking garage.

PARKING

There is a parking garage adjacent to the Inn and Conference Center. This is effectively the only nearby parking. Do NOT park in the open parking lots located to the rear of the Center. These are University parking lots and you will be ticketed. If you are staying at the Center, parking can be handled through the hotel.

If you are staying at either the Holiday Inn or the Quality Inn, a shuttle bus service will be provided to and from the conference site. Hard copies of the shuttle bus schedule will be available at both hotels and will be included in your registration packet.
