The Observatory is open to the public on the 5^th and 20^th of each month.

The evening begins with a short presentation by a department astronomer. The talk is followed by observing if weather permits.

Do you want to bring your class or scouts to the observatory to see the sky? We have two programs -- a day program (safely observe the sun) and night programs. Please email Elizabeth soon or call at 301-405-6555. You cannot just show up! Details about Group Programs.
