Astronomy/Space Camps: Looking for an out of this world adventure? Now is the time to look for and apply for astronomy and space camps!

11 Mar, 7:30pm -- NCA meeting (5:30pm Dinner at UMUC's Garden Restaurant)
20 Mar, 8pm -- Obs. Open House
Teachers! Troop leaders!! Do you want to bring your class or scouts to the observatory to see the sky? We have two programs -- a day program (safely observe the sun) and night programs. Please email Elizabeth soon or call at 301-405-6555. You cannot just show up! Details about Group Programs.

Most folks think that a telescope makes a great gift for Christmas. But are you really ready for a telescope? A good analogy -- Would you buy a car for someone who doesn't know how to drive or read a map? So what do we recommend for the amateur astronomer in your family? Here's our advice!
