If you are using your email programs (Thunderbird, Outlook,...), simply SEND the email message that appears:

Do not add a subject or body text!

You will receive a confirmation email asking that you confirm the subscribe/unsubscribe request. Please respond to that email!!

Alternate Method

If you wish to SUBSCRIBE or UNSUBSCRIBE and you are not on your own computer or are using programs like Hotmail or AOL (email through the browser), then
send mail to listserv@listserv.umd.edu
containing the message:
subscribe observatory Your Name
OR
unsubscribe observatory Your Name
and replacing 'Your Name' with your name.

You will receive a confirmation email asking that you confirm the subscribe/unsubscribe request. Please respond to that email!!
