The following organizations sponsor many events in the region. Items on the calendar are color coded to show the sponsor organization. For example, items in yellow are sponsored by us, the UM Observatory!

The USNO has a very limited, reservation only system. Please check their website for available dates and to apply for observing passes.

- Planetariums/Science Centers
Davis, Albert Einstein and Rock Creek Park all have extensive schedules that would fill up the calendar below. Please check their websites directly for regular daily public programs.
- Astronomy Stores
Astro Clubs/Planetariums/Observatories - Would you like to have your special public event(s) posted here? Send details of your event to Elizabeth. Note, that we'd like to limit this to events (meetings/talks) within the DC/Baltimore Metro region. However, regional star parties will be accepted as many amateurs will drive considerable distances to get their 'photon fix!'

And it is only as accurate as the information that I have gleaned from the source sites!

Many of these events may be "weather-permitting" so please check their website or call them not us for any go/no-go type decisions...
One last note... Many of the organizations are only able to continue with public support. If you visit/attend a 'free' event regularly, please consider joining or donating so that the organization can continue to provide that event!
