The Second Year Project of Nicholas Chapman is based on determining the driving mechanism for molecular outflows; in particular, the HH 212 outflow, which is a follow up to Chin-Fei Lee's thesis. His general research interests include star formation, and study of disks around young stars, with particular emphasis on the formation mechanisms of extra-solar planets
