I am a senior undergraduate student here at the University of Maryland. I am a member of the Gould's Belt (GB) Spitzer Legacy Science Program under the direction of Dr. Lee Mundy. The GB Legacy team is mapping over ten molecular clouds in our galaxy at various infrared wavelengths to get a census of populations of young stellar objects. |

My Planetary Nebula Discovery While processing Spitzer data, I discovered a planetary nebula. Pictured are twelve different multi-wavelength views from optical to far infrared. I plan on looking into this further as well as differences between IRAS and Spitzer interferometry. After graduation, I will stay on as a Faculty Research Associate working under the direction of Dr. Lee Mundy for LMA , the GB team, and various other projects. |
