Campus places to know

The Astronomy Department: We are located in the east wing on the ground and first floors in the old section of the Computer and Space Sciences Building. The building is directly across from the practice field and Parking Garage 2. The department office is located on the first floor. The astronomy colloquium room is on the second floor of the new west wing of this building. This is where most of the discussion sections are taught.

The Physics building: This is where all of the physics classes as well as the lectures for the introductory astronomy (undergrad) courses are taught.

Stamp Student Union: There are several restaurants here (this is where the Co-Op is located) as well as a movie theatre, bowling alley, bookstore, gameroom, and a ticket booth where you can buy concert tickets for DC venues as well as campus productions.

Mitchell Building: This is where you submit your registration forms.

Lee Building: They handle all student accounts. This is where you go to pay fees.

Engineering Library: It's on the other side of the Math Building. The library is huge and has many important periodicals and books which our library doesn't have.

Hornbake and McKeldin libraries: main campus libraries.

The new Campus Recreation Center with the Outdoors Recreation Program Office. An amazingly nice and well equipped gym with indoor and outdoor pools, weights, courts, etc. It's very nice and free for all students.
