Characterizing 'feedback' or outflows of material is essential to our understanding of galaxy evolution. Currently, I'm using Herschel Space Obsevatory and NEWFIRM observations to investigate feedback from nearby galaxies - also known as 'galactic winds'. Sylvain Veilleux (UMD) and Marcio Melendez (UMD) are advising me in this effort.
