History

• Grew up in the tough streets of Compton ... well - about an hour east of it in a somewhat mellow suburb called "San Bernardino" (second to last stop on the historical Route-66)
• I graduated from the Ohio State University (as opposed to other state universities located in Ohio) with a Ph.D. in Experimental Particle Physics (after 7 years, they realized that the only way they'd get rid of me would be to give me a doctorate). My thesis ... uh, dissertation ... is available here in postscript format. It'll be 100 pages of fairly dry reading, although the intro turned out okay ... relatively speaking. For those also trudging through their PhD, you might find this allegory amusing.

Current

• I was a Reserach Associate with the CARMA group at the University of Maryland. I was also a software developer with a company in Columbia, MD called CMSI. I have since moved on and am now a post-doc with Naval Research Laboratory in DC.
