Multi-Wavelength Protoplanet Shadows
Below are simulated images of 20 Earth Mass planets embedded in a disk inclined at 45 degrees with respect to observer. The planets are located at 1, 2, 4, and 8 AU. The wavelengths of observation are 1 μm, 30 μm, and 0.3 mm, respectively. The color scale shows the flux density in Janskys per square arcsecond. The contours are spaced by a factor of 2 in flux density.
