7 13/16" x 10 5/16" [Mannocci 17, v (of ix)] (1636)
(A counterproof is the result of placing a newly printed etching face down on
a damp sheet of paper and running the pair through the press. The image thus
transfered is
reversed relative to the etching, but corresponds to the etched copper plate.
This makes a counterproof useful as a guide in making changes to the plate.)
