I come from China. My hometown, Hefei, is a small, but beautiful city. It is the capital of Anhui Province, which is in eastern China. |
The world famous scenic spot --- Huangshan Mountain is at south Anhui Province. And there are many other scenic spots here, such as Jiuhua Mountain, Taiping Lake, Qiyun Mountain, etc., just waiting for you. |

After my undergraduate study in the Department of Physics, University of Science and Technology of China, I chose astronomy as my graduate study major. Stars in the sky attracted me, and will attract me forever. |
In the second year I was here, I was interested in the cool images of planetary nebulae from Hubble Space Telescope (HST). You can find many many beautiful images from this gallary. My second year project was about HST Astrometric Measurement of the Angular Expansion and Distance of the Planetary Nebula BD+30 3639. A paper The Angular Expansion and Distance of the Planetary Nebula BD30 3639 was published in Astronomical Journal |

| IMPORTANT NOTE: As one of the most important achievements in my life, I have successfully defended my dissertation, and entitled Ph.D. since March, 2005. Too busy in starting up my career (what an excuse!), I have just a little time to update my webpage, and add this note. Please see my online CV for more information. My apologies for any confusions caused by this page before April 2006. |
