Problem based on problem 2.11 from Chamberlain & Hunten:

  1. Determine the cooling time for Uranus and compare it with the time for seasonal variations. For the heat content, use a column one scale height deep and a molar specific heat Cp = 5R/2. The cooling time is just the reciprocal of the fraction of the total heat radiated per second according to the Stefan-Boltzmann law using the effective temperature of the planet.
