9 Oct
I had misread the campus exam schedule, so our final exam is at a different
time (same day) than in the original syllabus.

Noting the unexpected conflict with my original plan for making up classes,
The only time that all students are available is starting at 15:00 on
Tuesdays. We are seeking a room for the period 15:00 to 17:00, on the
assumption that this is the time slot that we will use for make-up classes.
When we meet at the regular time on Tuesday, 10 Oct, I hope to know what
room will be available. This change preserves the dates listed below and
listed on the revised syllabus.
4 Oct
The makeup class for Tue, 17 Oct, will be in room CSS 2324, on Tue, 10 Oct,
14:00-15:15. The mid-term exam will also be in room CSS 2324, on Tue,
31 Oct, 14:00-15:15. There will be no class on Tue, 19 Oct, Thu, 21 Oct,
or Thu, 26 Oct. To make up the third missing class, we will also aim for a
makeup class on Tu, 24 Oct.
2 Oct
Change of schedule: I have been requested to move the mid-term exam due
to too many exams that week. Noting that we had previously agreed to
make up missing classes on Tuesdays, after the regular class, I am
prepared to move the mid-term exam to a second-class on Tue, 31 Oct.
That will then be in room CSS 0201, the officially scheduled
classroom.
At the same time, I note that I will be away Tue, 17 Oct, Thu, 19 Oct, and Thu, 26 Oct. One of those classes will be made up by the rescheduled exam. I propose that we make up another by having a second class on Tue, 10 Oct, also in CSS 0201. We will figure out later how to deal with the third missing class.
31 Aug
For convenience in doing laptop projections, the class will normally meet in
room CSS 2316, instead of the regularly scheduled classroom. There may be
times when it has to be moved back to CSS 0201 (when all-day meetings require
use of the room in its officially designated role as a conference room, or
when we are making up a class at a different time).
