Greetings, students

Hello and welcome! My name is Qian (pronunciation). I am your TA for ASTR120 and I am here to guide you towards a better understanding of astrophysics! As we progress through the course, I promise to update this website with homework solutions, useful information, and any presentation materials that I use in discussion sessions. I would like it to be helpful to you, so tell me if you find any problems.

Important things you should know:

  • Don't miss lectures. Dr Hamilton says a lot of things off script. Even I get to go - so should you!
  • Turn up for discussions. About 20% of your grade comes from me!
  • Write legibly on your homework, show all steps, and complete all of the problems - this is another 26% of your grade I'd like you to get!
  • Don't copy. This is serious.
  • Open door policy (it's just me on the other side and I don't bite!) Whether you need me or just like to talk to me, I should not be hard to find. Email ahead of time if desperate.
  • It's okay if you can't say my name like Google's synthesiser.
