After Regionals 2000: PS Food for thoughts for next year. How about not including mixed doubles in the mix for the overall team standing. This will give the team with a single gender a better chance of winning the overall title. Albright, Bryn Mawr and Swarthmore are pretty much in the girls section while UP and Howard are pretty strong in men. Given that everyone is in the main event (singles and doubles), I think more weight should be given to those. That way, everyone is pretty much in the race for the overall standing. If a school has both strong gender teams, more power to them. They deserve to win. But to have one strong ladies team and one mens team combining together, the rest do not have a chance. Give it a thought and lets talk about it.
