Linux on the Dell Latitude 5420

Laptop received as an office hand-me-down ordered May xxx, 2022. Fairly loaded (64GB mem; 1TB SSD). USB-C power. Battery was only at 80%. Later in August, got an updated battery, the old one was ony 41 Wh, but had 30 Wh left. The new one is 61 Wh. $107 (excl. tax) , for the record.

Good, Bad and Ugly impressions:

+: Ubuntu 20/22.04 LTS.
+:
-: two USB-C ports, but only on left side OK, there is a micro-SD slot on the left, and a 3.5mm audio jack on the right.
-: compared to my normal Lenovo, the Fn-Ctrl is now Ctrl-Fn on the lower left of keyboard. It could be remapped?
+: the screen now folds flat. The xps was not great.
-: no buttons by the touch pad,
