DEBUT AT COMPUTER LITERACY

At 6pm on Thursday, November 10th, the second edition of
Yggdrasil's _The Linux Bible_ will debut at Computer Literacy (San
Jose, CA). Shipments to other resellers and end users will commence
the next day. We expect over a hundred people to attend
this event, and Computer Literacy has expanded seating for it, but
there should still be plenty of space if you want to drop by and
socialize with fellow linux fans.

Randy Hootman of Yggdrasil will give an introductory talk on
what Linux is, its history and its culture, and will demonstrate
installation of Yggdrasil Plug-and-Play Linux. Randy does technical
support at Yggdrasil and gives weekly seminars on installing and
using Linux. Also on hand will be Daniel Quinlan (the coordinator
of the Linux Filesystem standard) and Adam Richter (the principal
architect of Plug-and-Play Linux).

LINUX BIBLE AT COMDEX

We will show The Linux Bible at Comdex at the Yggdrasil booth
(S-3086, in the Sands Convention Center). Corrine Buteau, Dan Quinlan
and Adam Richter will be on hand. If you would like a free guest pass
to Comdex, just call us!

LINUX BIBLE FTP'able

The documents that comprise The Linux Bible, including
documents written at Yggdrasil, are FTPable from the standard linux
FTP sites and ftp.yggdrasil.com. In addition, if you'd like to examine
the arrangement of The Linux Bible before you buy it, you can download
the whole book from ftp.yggdrasil.com:pub/linux/bible/.

DR. LINUX

The first edition of The Linux Bible was arranged and printed
by Linux System Labs, and copublished by Yggdrasil. The second
edition was done in house at Yggdrasil, and is copublished by Linux
Systems Labs as "Dr. Linux."

SAME LOW PRICE, SUPPORTS LINUX DOCUMENTATION PROJECT

Although the Second Edition has one and half times as many
pages (1180) as the original Linux Bible, the price remains $39.95, $1
of which is donated to The Linux Documentation Project (not part of
Yggdrasil). This donation is the same, regardless of whether you buy
The Linux Bible directly from us or through a reseller, and is
also being done by Linux Systems Labs and Universal CDROM with
their versions of The Linux Bible.

In addition, anyone who wrote 50 or more lines of The Linux
Bible can get a free copy. Call us for details.
