Tracy Huard is an observational astronomer whose research interests include star and planet formation, molecular clouds, and interstellar dust. His work primarily utilizes infrared observations from space-based facilities, such as the Hubble Space Telescope and Spitzer Space Telescope, as well as ground-based facilities at the National Optical Astronomy Observatory (NOAO), the MMT Observatory, and Carnegie Observatories. He also helps with development of data processing pipelines for the MOSAIC (optical) and NEWFIRM (near-infrared) imagers at NOAO. Before joining the University of Maryland in 2007, Tracy Huard received his Ph.D. in Physics from Vanderbilt University in 2000 and held several postdoctoral fellowships at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. He is a member of the Cores-to-Disks, Gould's Belt, and Taurus Spitzer Legacy teams, and is an Adjunct Associate Research Scientist in the Columbia Astrophysics Laboratory at Columbia University.
