Astro-Physics Starfire 152 (6") f9 Refractor





Well, after a couple of years, I guess we can't call it new! Especially since we have another "new" telescope.
Here, we got a little impatient... thought we would try to do some observing through the window and started to set up the gear... way bigger than we thought!! So no, we didn't observe through the window!

This is the original, unprocessed image of the moon taken with a Canon EOS D30. We didn't have all the pieces (t-adapter) to properly connect the camera so I handheld the camera (sans lens) up to the telescope drawtube using the t-ring on the camera to make sure the camera was square to the drawtube. The moon was bright enough that a very fast exposure was made... 1/250 sec ISO 400...





This image was lightly processed in Photoshop using unsharp mask...
