Nobeyama movie: GIF animation of the rotating Sun at 17 GHz (warning: the file is 1.9 MBytes) (will run in browser, or download to disk and use xanim) Watch for the long-duration flare with fine post-flare loops at the beginning (you can also see a filament lift off on the limb south of the flare site). The active region crossing disk center undergoes considerable evolution, and a prominence can be see coming over the north-east limb and turning into a depression as it rotates onto the disk.
