Discovered 1981 Nov. 2 by B. A. Skiff at the Anderson Mesa
Station of the Lowell Observatory.
Laura M. Woodney (b. 1970), now at the Lowell Observatory, recently
completed her doctoral dissertation at the University of Maryland on the
chemistry of comets.
