Cosmic Dust meeting, CD-13, Japan

Due to continuing concerns regarding the COVID pandemic in Japan, and based on them serious visa restrictions for foreign visitors (see https://www.mofa.go.jp/ca/fna/page22e_000921.html), the Organizing Committee of the Cosmic Dust meeting has decided to postpone the CD-13 meeting until summer 2023. Our apology to those who planned to attend the CD-13 meeting in 2022, especially those who already have registered for the meeting.

Follow our updates at https://www.cps-jp.org/~dust/Welcome.htmlWe hope to see you in Japan in 2023!

Electromagnetic and Light Scattering Conference ELS-XX

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are unable to hold the ELS-XX conference in St. Petersburg as it was originally planned.

We are planning now to hold the ELS-XX conference at the southern coast of Spain in May 2023.

Many thanks to Olga Munoz and her colleagues from Granada who agreed to host the meeting.

In search of collaboration

I am looking for a collaborator with expertise in volume integral equation approach to light scattering. I am working on developing a new analytical or semi-analytical (rather than pure computational) approach to studying Mie resonances (WGM modes) in weakly non-spherical dielectric objects. This project is NSF funded. Interested people can contact me at lev.deych@qc.cuny.edu .
