The 4th Advancement of POLarimetric
Observations (APOLO-2024) meeting
The meeting will be held November 18-21, 2024 in Kyoto,
Japan. APOLO-2024 website: https://apolo.loa.univ-lille.fr/ The deadline for the abstract submission is April 30, 2024.
===================================================================== 14th
International conference on Laser-light Interactions with Particles (LIP2024,
https://lip-conference.org/) will be held in Xian,
China, during September 18-22, 2024. A hybrid conference will be held both on-site and
virtually. There will be No Fee for online attendance. The deadline for submitting an abstract is April
30. For more than three decades this conference
series has promoted state-of-the-art research and scientific exchange on
laser beams and interactions with particles and particle
systems, from theory to practice, and development of instruments. The present edition follows the former Optical
Particle Sizing (OPS) and Characterization (OPC) conferences held in Rouen
1987; Tempe, 1990; Yokohama, 1993; Nuernberg, 1995; Minneapolis, 1998;
Brighton, 2001; Kyoto, 2004; Graz, 2007 as well as the reformulated Laser-light and Particle
Interactions (LIP) conference held in Rouen in 2012; Marseille, 2014; Xian,
2016; College Station (TX), 2018; Warsaw, 2022. The LIP2024 is dedicated to the memory of Prof.
James Albert Lock (1948- 2023): A life of honor and work of excellence. A
special issue is scheduled in the Journal of Quantitative Spectroscopy
& Radiative Transfer. We would be grateful if you take part in this event and share your
expertise on the topic with our participants. Your participation is important
for the success of this meeting and will be very much appreciated. For further queries, please do not hesitate to
contact us.
Dr. Jiajie Wang ============================================================================= Special Issue of the Journal of
Quantitative Spectroscopy and Radiative Transfer Light Pollution: Theory, Modelling and
Measurements 2024 (Altmuenster Contributions) This special issue will feature papers on Light
Pollution: Theory, Modelling and Measurements and bring together the experts
in the field to discuss the current state of the art and to formulate new
research directions. The special issue aims to disseminate a more intensive development in this
field of research. We have chosen this topic as a fitting theme for a special
issue due to its growing significance. We believe that such a comprehensive
overview of the latest research will define the leading edge and centralize our
understanding of the advances in the field, ultimately benefiting the
community. If your submission is considered in scope, it will
be reviewed by at least two independent researchers who are experts on the
topic. To ensure all articles meet the highest ethical standards, early
detection tools will identify and detect unethical research prior to publication. Journal of
Quantitative Spectroscopy and Radiative Transfer supports both open access
and subscription articles. If you would like to publish open access,
information on the article publishing charge (APC) can be found on the journal homepage. The deadline for submissions is 31 December 2024. If
you need more time, or have any other questions about this special issue, you
are very welcome to contact me by responding to this email. Read more about this special issue and how to
