Call for Papers: Planetary and Space Science Special Issue on Cosmic Dust

You are cordially invited to submit a paper to the special issue of Planetary and Space Science (PSS) dedicated to cosmic dust and related topics.

Although the special issue is primarily devoted to the papers presented at the 11th meeting on Cosmic Dust (Cosmic Dust XI, https://www.cps-jp.org/~dust/Welcome_XI.html), it is open to submission of any papers on cosmic dust, outside of the meeting.

All kinds of cosmic dust can be a subject of the paper. The topics of interest include but are not limited to:

-intergalactic dust

-interstellar dust

-protoplanetary disk dust

-debris disk dust

-cometary dust

-interplanetary dust

-circumplanetary dust

-stellar nebular condensates

-presolar grains

-micrometeorites

-meteoroids

-meteors

-regolith particles

-planetary aerosols

Also welcome are papers on dust-related topics such as:

-physicochemical properties of ices, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), organics, silicates, sulfides, metals

-the formation of molecules and their reactions on and their desorption from the surface of a solid substance

-light scattering by non-spherical particles and particulate surfaces

-space missions and instrumentation for measurements of particulates

In previous years, PSS published four special issues on Cosmic Dust:

Cosmic Dust VI (https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/planetary-and-space-science/vol/100)

Cosmic Dust VII (https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/planetary-and-space-science/vol/116)

Cosmic Dust VIII (https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/planetary-and-space-science/vol/133)

Cosmic Dust IX (https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/planetary-and-space-science/vol/149)

Cosmic Dust X (in press)

The deadline for submission is May 15, 2019.

There is no charge for submission of a paper and no page charges for publication of the paper, except for color reproduction in print or an open access option. All papers will be peer-reviewed by two independent reviewers. Accepted papers will be published in the online

(ScienceDirect) edition of the journal within about 3 weeks of acceptance. A detailed submission guideline is available as Guide for Authors at:
