APOLO-2019

Due to large number of the requests, the deadline for submission of the abstracts for APOLO-2019 has been extended until August 1, 2019.

APOLO-2019 is the 2nd Conference on "Advancement of POLarimetric Observations: instruments, calibration, and improved aerosol and cloud retrievals that will take place on 4-7 November 2019 in Lille, France.

ELS-XVIII: JQSRT special issue

The JQSRT website https://www.evise.com/profile/#/JQSRT/login has been set up to accommodate submissions to the ELS-XVIII special issue. As a reminder, only full-size original contributions and comprehensive reviews will be considered. An invited review should have the word "Review" just above the title of the manuscript.

Please remember to select the "VSI: ELS-XVIII" paper category during the submission process.

ELS XIX

We are pleased to announce that the 19th Electromagnetic and Light Scattering Conference (ELS-XIX) will be held 29 June -- 3 July 2020 at the ITMO University, St. Petersburg, Russia:

This University if located in the historical center of the city that has become the No. 1 tourist destination in Europe. St. Petersburg has been thoroughly refurbished for the World Cup held in Russia last year. This is a beautiful time of year famous for its "White Nights". The weather is usually nice, with temperatures around 18-19 C.

Given the popularity of this destination in June/July, it is very important to start your planning now and reserve a hotel as early as possible.

 

We expect ELS-XIX to have two websites: at the ITMO University and at NASA. The latter one should be available soon as

and will be used for abstract submissions. It will provide the link to the Russian site where all other logistics (including registration) will be handled.

The following week features the IRS in Tessaloniki, Greece, so members of the atmospheric-radiation and remote-sensing communities may decide to attend  both related conferences in a row:
