Paul Drury (1903-1987) was another English etcher influenced by the dense
style and pastoral subject matter of Samuel Palmer. Here are four of
his early etchings.
After Work (1926).
Etching, 4" x 5 9/16", signed.
This impression of "After Work" was printed by F. L. Griggs. The sheet carries
the stamp of his press at Dover's House.
September (1928).
Etching, 4" x 5 1/8", signed.
Many critics regard "September" to be Drury's masterwork.
