1996 Northeast Regional & US National Collegiate Championship

U.S. Badminton Association Region I

Regional Event open to all Undergraduate Badminton Student-Athletes in good academic standing (normal NCAA eligibility rules apply) currently attending colleges and universities within Region I states: Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Virginia.

National Event subject to NCAA guidelines, but open to students of the 50 U.S. states and other qualifying territories.

FORMAT: Normal elimination format, with consolation rounds conducted in as many events as possible, depending upon number of entries. Priority will be given to entries received by mail which include the entry fee. Please mail your entries early.

START TIMES: It is essential that players by ready to play at the scheduled time. Therefore, any player responsible for a delay of more than 10 minutes in starting a match will be defaulted. ALL PLAYERS should be ready to play SINGLES at 9AM sharp. Doubles play will begin approximately 12 Noon.

Since this Collegiate Championship is sanctioned by the United States Badminton Association, all participants must by members of the USBA. Please bring your membership card with you. USBA memberships will also be available at the registration desk.

Entry fees are $10 per singles player and $15 per doubles team. In addition, all players must be members of the United States Badminton Association. Memberships will be available at the tournament.
