On May 9, 2009, we organized the first Glenn Dale Badminton Tournament. The format was somewhat peculiar: we decided to play a randomly paired doubles in A (advanced), B (beginner) and J (junior) level, and following a chess like ranking system where all players started out with 1500 points and could gain (or loose) ranking points by scoring. Winning was thus always essential, just making as many points as you could. Here;s a small writeup of the rules. We used K=100 in the ELO system during the tournament.
