Getting Funding from Private Foundations

Abstract: In this talk, I will discuss avenues for getting funding from philanthropic organizations. I will discuss how applications to funding programs from private foundations differ from traditional federal funding sources, and the pros and cons of receiving funding from both. I will share my own experiences with applying to private foundation funding and some advice on how to make such applications successful.
