I lead a communications team out of the Astrophysics Science Division at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center. My team produces news stories, multimedia products, and social media posts related to the universe beyond our solar system, from nearby stars and exoplanets to the most distant galaxies and large-scale structures. I earned my PhD in astronomy from the University of Maryland, and I've had a lifelong interest in communicating science to the public.
