I am a third-year graduate student of Astronomy Department at University of
Maryland, College Park. I graduated Yonsei University in South Korea and got my
master degree in the same university. I worked on various topics of galaxy
evolution with professor Sukyoung K. Yi. In my early studies, I used Sloan
Digital Sky Survey data, but my main interest is numerical
simulation. After working as a research assistant, I came to University of
Maryland and started my new graduate school life here.
While I hopping from Yonsei to UMD, my research interest also jumped from the
local Universe to the early Universe. Here at UMD, I am studying the formation of
the first galaxies with professor Massimo Ricotti. For this, I am using
numerical simulation code RAMSES, which I used many years in
Yonsei.
