The primary focus my research is on the physical and dynamical properties of comets, centaurs and transneptunian objects (along with the occasional asteroid). I am very interested in the relationship between these various objects and how they evolve with time.

After receiving my PhD from the University of Hawaii, I worked at Lowell Observatory, where I spent a large amount of time observing and analyzing comet Hale-Bopp. After that, I was the Harlan J. Smith Planetary Postdoc at the University of Texas in Austin, before coming to Maryland.
