Here are the events that we held:

  • Spectacular Space Science -- The universe is closer than you think. It begins right here with the partnerships between the researchers in UM's College of Computer, Mathematical and Physical Sciences and NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center. Stop by to explore comets, black holes, the Sun, Moon, and Universe with scientists and team members from those missions and projects.

  • Pondering Planets -- What is a planet? The AstroTerps will help you explore the basic properties of planets in order to understand the current definition, as well as make your own definition of a planet.

  • Ask an Astronomer -- Astronomy faculty and students will be on hand to answer your perplexing astronomy-related questions!

  • Solar Observing -- Take a safe look at the big yellow (or red, depending on the filter) ball in our sky through telescopes with observatory staff.

  • 2010 MD Day program booklet
