From Planets to Policy: Rewards and Challenges of Science Policy

Abstract: Instead of pursuing a traditional path in research, I found my way into the world of science policy in Washington, D.C. during turbulent times. In this talk, I will share how I made the transition from research into policy, what science policy work looks like day-to-day, and the unique rewards and challenges of working at the science-policy interface for the American Astronomical Society.
