UMD Observatory

Constructed in 1963-64, the University of Maryland Astronomy Observatory is an important component of the teaching and research program in the Department of Astronomy. In recent years, undergraduate students have been the observatory’s primary users and have participated in observations of exoplanet transits, variable stars, asteroid occultations, and many other celestial targets.
