My research focuses on X-ray spectroscopy and accretion onto compact object. After graduating from the University of Erlangen-Nuernberg, Germany I moved to UMD and GSFC to work on X-ray photoionization modeling, laboratory astrophysics and atomic data as part of the XRISM Science Team.
