Spectroscopic Studies of the Uranian Satellites
Speaker: Dr. Riley DeColibus, JPL
Abstract: The five large Uranian moons are intriguing icy bodies subject to a renewed level of scientific interest in recent years. In this talk, I will discuss the effects of external processes on the surface compositions of these moons, and the work that I have conducted via spectroscopy with ground-based telescopes. I will discuss my previous results from near-infrared spectroscopy of the smallest classical moon Miranda, recently-published visible spectroscopy of the four larger moons, and our results' implications and open questions.
