Stephen Bradley Cenko
Adjunct Professor
I am a Research Astrophysicist at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, as well as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Astronomy at UMD. I serve as the Principal Investigator of the Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory, a NASA explorer mission dedicated to the study of gamma-ray bursts and other transients. My research interests are varied but largely fall under the rubric of observational time-domain astronomy. I am also intent on developing instrumentation and software to enable novel observations of such time-variable phenomena. I am always interested in new opportunities in these areas - any interested students or postdocs, please be in touch!
