Title:  "Lessons from Software Development"

Astronomy research most often requires writing code. But is that code legible? Does it work? More pressingly, it did yesterday, and now it doesn't!

In this workshop, we'll cover practices often used in the software development industry that can bolster our programming workflows. We'll broadly cover introductions to git, styling, unit testing, package development, and continuous integration/deployment. We'll also address cutting-edge approaches to open science, from Papers with Code to show your work!

Before the workshop, please make sure that you have Python and git installed on your computer.
